Since the 1970s, the inseparable Moreno Panattoni and Catherine Pirmez have worked with love and commitment to make Montechiari an enchanting place. This is where our 5 organic wines were born, which fully respect the terroir of our hills.

The Montechiari estate stands in Montecarlo, located in Tuscany on the ancient site of a military fortress destroyed around 1300 by the Lucca army during a battle against the Florentines. Walking around the estate, one can still see ancient stones, cannons and tools that testify to its rich history.

During the 1970s, in order to combine his two passions for history and wine, Moreno Panattoni and his wife Catherine Pirmez decided to reorganise the estate, located right in his hometown. With the collaboration and under the supervision of oenologists Giacomo Tachis and Stefano Chioccioli, Moreno restructured the vineyards by introducing innovative and international varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet.

Today, Fattoria di Montechiari is proud to present five different high-quality and BIO-certified wines. The estate covers about 11 hectares of vineyards, spread around the hillside, for an annual production of about thirty thousand bottles.
